| The Jewish Literary Salon |
|
The Jewish Literary Salon is an element of cultural life in Krakow's Kazimierz. It has operated successfully since 2006. These meetings provide an opportunity to learn about modern literature, to gain a better understanding of important and sometimes difficult subjects and to engage in discussion. Jewish themes have included the history of Jews, life in Israel, politics, religion, art, and the problem of Jewish life and identity today. Typically, at each Salon, the invited author speaks in conversation with Anna Makówka-Kwapisiewicz and presents his or her views on literature, art, and Jewish culture, with active audience participation. |
